Practice draft · in your browser

Draft a full table, with reasons.

Eight seats, seven bot drafters, seeded deterministic packs — the same coaching engine as the Hyde Companion ranks every pack and drives the bots, so the cards that reach you attrit the way a real draft does. Bots draft behind the scenes: you see your pack shrink, not their picks. Every set from the last three years. No account, nothing to install — and the only thing ever counted is an anonymous draft-completed tally.

Same seed, same draft — the seed is mirrored to the URL (#seed=…), so you can share or replay a pack sequence.

A practice draft that plays like a real one

This simulator deals a full 8-player table from real set data, then runs a complete Premier-Draft shape: three packs, fifteen picks, packs rotating around the table so they shrink the way they do on Arena. Seven bot drafters take their own picks from every pack using different drafting personalities — one chases removal, one hugs the curve, one reads the signals left in the packs that reach it — using the same engine that powers the Hyde Companion, a free desktop overlay that coaches over your live Arena drafts.

Every pick comes with its reasoning

Each card in your pack carries a power score from aggregate 17Lands win-rate data, a letter grade, and an explanation: why it fits (or fights) your colors, whether your pool still needs creatures or early curve slots, and whether a color lane looks open based on what has reached you. Hover a card to read it. The gold shield marks bombs and premium removal, tan marks solid playables, gray marks filler.

Sets and their data

The picker covers every draftable set from the last three years. Sets marked live carry full 17Lands win-rate grading for the current competitive season; sets marked retro-graded lost their observed win-rate columns when they rotated and are ranked from a rarity-based model instead — they still draft fine, but lean on the engine's heuristics rather than field results. New sets appear once the 17Lands aggregation window clears.

Why no account?

Nothing here needs one: no saves, no profiles, no tracking pixels, no ad scripts. Drafts are deterministic — the seed in the URL rebuilds the exact same 45 picks for anyone who opens it, which makes shared drafts, replay attempts, and "beat my pool" challenges trivially easy. If you want the coaching over real drafts instead, the free Hyde Companion is the same engine reading your Arena log locally.
